The 2015 release of the America the Beautiful Quarters® Silver Proof Set is the 6th in the series. The US Mint launched the series in 2010 to commemorate the most cherished National Parks and other National sites. Each year 5 quarters of different designs are minted and released as both Proof and Uncirculated. The series consists of 56 coins and runs from 2010 until 2021 inclusive.
Each obverse shows John Flanagan’s 1932 portrait of George Washington. Each coin is 90% silver and weighs 6.25g with a diameter of 24.3mm (0.955 inches). The edge is reeded.
The 2015 set feature the following National sites:
 Homestead National Monument of America in NebraskaShows the three fundamental requirements for homesteader survival: food, water and shelter. |
 Kisatchie National Forest in LouisianaShows a wild turkey flying over blue stem grass with long leaf pine in the background. |
 Blue Ridge Parkway in North CarolinaShows a curving mountain road with the American Dogwood (the state flower for North Carolina) in the foreground. |
 Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in DelawareShows a great blue heron in the foreground and a great egret in the background. |
 Saratoga National Historical Park in New YorkShows (in close up) when General John Burgoyne surrendered his sword to General Horatio Gates in 1777, which many thought of as ‘beginning of the end’ of the American Revolutionary War. |
The set was originally issued in a clear plastic presentation box.
